Mop's interpretation of "Ice Planet Hell"

I think I'm stuck
makin no excuses and passing the buck

Well I think basically what hes saying is that hes trapped and he has no way of getting out, but instead of having a scapegoat he just says that hes stuck, he knows it, but he's still trying to go about things normally.

Well I've just had twenty long years,
twenty long years of real bad luck

Self-explainatory...(or at least it should be.)

crystal clear, ringin in my ear like a bell,
I'm coming from Ice Planet Hell

Have you ever had a bell ring in your ear? Do you know how annoying it is? Its like your going insane!! So I think that those 20 years are still in his mind and they are reminding him of all the mistakes and bad luck that he has had/done. And of course..hes comin from Ice Planet Hell.

and the grem I caught from the hill
can't be fixed with a little happy pill

somethings can't be forgotten, or taken away by drugs or any other form that you would like this "germ" to go away in. It won't leave.

and it's so cool,
and it's so swell,
livin here on Ice planet hell

This kinda stumps me. I think that either he is making fun of it (kinda like when your grandparents give you a pink frilly dress and white patent leather shoes. "Oh!! Its just what I wanted! Its is SO nice!") or else he is happy as me at a Psychotica concert in his misery. Do you get what I mean? Like when you're riding high upon a deep depression and your so angry and mad that you have to torture yourself...just because. I don't think that I can explain it any other way.

the hills a jinx,
my boyfriend cried
when his best friend died

Of course the hill is gonna be a jinx.....it will give you germs and bad luck. (I think that it will also give you isolation...)

one's in the slammer for a very long time
boy on the corner still drinking his goddamn wine

So who exactly is in the slammer is the question here. Is it one of his boyfriends or just some person who is fro Ice Planet Hell? as for the 2nd sentence...Maybe he went back to ice planet hell (to torture himself again cuz hes mad.) and this kid was STILL drinking his wine. (well thats basically what it says.) Have you ever left a place and time hasen't touched it when you go back? Its really creepy. Maybe because time (by my standerds.) is thee most powerful timg that I can imagine. Time overpowers all because no one has figured out how to conquer it. Wheather anyone likes it or not, you can't beat time. It runs everyones life and theres no stopping it. creepy.....oh yeah..the song-this place might be invinsible beacuse it hasen't changed, which means time hasen't touched it, so it would be winning over time....See where I'm headed?

unicycle boy, he touched that hill
his arm fell off when he took a spill

Not too much here to explain. This kid got cursed form touching the hill. (oohh!! new thought [sorry-it will be at the end. I just had to write that note to myself so I remember to put that thought at the end.])

thats how it is when you come from my block
the only trouble was there was no electric shock.

mmm...electric shock...I got one from my guitar and it was so amazing. But back to the song--everyone who came form here, or touched the hill was cursed. If they had an electric shock either a)all have died and put out of their misery or b) turn into brainless, vegtable-type people who can't do anything for themselves (wow! I bet the people around here had a electric shock!!) or c) electric shock to forget things. The only troubel is that you still remember these things, and you want to put your arms around a memory, but you can't. those would really suck so maybe this song is about how you can't win.

and we'll crawl home,
fall home,
fly home,
die home

Well I guess Pat likes to be tortured if he wants to go back to this cursed hill. Thats actually a normal human thing, I think. Everyone and everything is so desentized that the only thing that excites them is their own death, because every thing else id so dull and boring. Or/and hes saying that you'll always go home.

when will I see you standing in the acid rain
fall to your knees and call my name, call my name

I love that part of the song. When that acid rain is coming down on you and your suffering and the acid rain is buring your eyes out---just cal my name so I can laugh at your suffering. Its probably that or call my name so I can rush and help you...but I think that the 1st one is more likely because its a question. Kinda like saying "when will you die?"

well everybody died from that time
and I don't know why, I'm still alive
but everybodys dead, and everybodys gone
and I'm all alone on Ice Planet Hell

Well.......everyones dead and hes isolated, but it might not make that much difference since he was isolated before. Maybe he realized that he was taking it all for granted and he wishes that he could have everyone back...but of course..time has won and theres no turning back. Hes all alone, and will always be alone. *sniff*

oh yeah-the thought I had up a little that I needed to remind myself about-this hill is bad. Everyone who comes in contact with it *viola'* something bad happens to that person. Hasen't everybody at some point in thire life felt like all they they touch turns to shit? I know I have. That might actually be what the song is about...but with Psychotica, you can never be too sure. This is a hard song to summarize.
